Clay Houses for Habitat for Humanity Gala Dinner May 3

We began a new project today at school with the grade 4's.  They made two clay houses with the assistance of the SUNTEP university students, one house for themselves and one for donation to the Habitat for Humanity Gala dinner on May 3. The dinner will be having a raffle as most dinners do. However at this dinner rather than purchasing a paper ticket, a clay house with a house with a house number is your ticket. If your house number is drawn you are the winner.

Below are images of the work in progress. I will upload images of the houses (in close up) later this week. Thanks to Cynthia Fey for taking the photos, I am now sure I actually exist. I am shocked to see myself in film. There are so few photos of me in this world because I am always the one taking the photos. Also, thank you to the SUNTEP students that helped out today. I was fun to see the houses come to life with your assistance and I didn't feel nearly so pulled in 46 directions today.

More information about the gala will be coming out soon. My students are doing the graphic design for the event as well. We will be photographing some of the houses for use on the invitations, place cards and program.
